Full Details of the Required Change
Both for speeding up internal screen issues diagnosis and increasing visibility for train operators of issues with their assets, Blackbox is refining the screen health statuses. Currently screens are either reporting on- or offline. Going forward there will be more statuses, for example indicating that the even though the screen has power and a network connection, no customer information is displayed, because the app is not updating, or that while the screen is showing content, this content is stale. Over time this information will become available to relevant members of staff working for train operators. Further releases are planned for the short-term future to make this new functionality available.

More screen health status data will help in diagnosing and resolving screen related issues faster
Impact and Risk Analysis
This release is a backend only release. There is no visible impact on screens or an existing user interface. Therefore the impact of this release is small and the risk low. If there are any issues, then a roll back can be triggered.
The release is currently planned for Thursday 23rd October. Depending on test outcomes, it may be postponed with one week. If that is the case, this release note will be updated.
